Oh how we love New York Fashion Week! There have been so many incredible shows this season, despite the Winter Vortex that has been hitting NYC! How can we possibly choose which shows to cover when we want to share all of them with you? Here are our latest reviews of the Oscar de la Renta, Victoria Beckham, and Vera Wang shows:
[Oscar de la Renta]
The Oscar de la Renta show started out with some graphic geometric prints in black, white, red, and royal blue. Black leather and fur were quite popular in many of the shows this season and the Oscar de la Renta show was no exception. From suits, to pencil skirts, to ball gowns, this show was one show stopper after another. We are personally swooning over some of his fabulous coats! Particularly the black and white textured fur one (seen in the 3rd picture). Check out some of our favorite looks:
[Victoria Beckham]
Victoria Beckham has certainly torn away from her Spice Girls ways and made a name for herself, not just as Mrs. David Beckham, but has one hot fashion designer! Her minimalistic designs have sleek clean lines. The seemingly simple looks show impeccable restraint and understanding of a woman's body and curves. [Vera Wang]
One of our favorite wedding dress designers has gone grunge! This punk-inspired collection Vera Wang put out this season is a far cry from the white wedding gowns we are used to seeing from her. From a "YOU BUG ME" printed t-shirt to sheer and lace gowns, this almost completely black collection is a welcome surprise. You can still see the feminine details that Wang is known for but with a street edge to them and we are loving every minute of it! Check out some of our favorite pieces below:
