Cheesy Spinach Artichoke Dip

I am a lover of dips and sauces and am always on the look out for new ones to try making.  My sister always makes this spinach dip and everyone loves it.  I added in some artichoke hearts and it's oh so delicious!  This has to be one of the easiest dips to make, it's pretty much a full proof, no-fail recipe that your guests are sure to be impressed with!

[What you need]

1 stick butter
2 8oz packages of cream cheese
1 frozen box of chopped spinach
1 onion
1 tablespoon crushed or chopped garlic
1 can quartered artichoke hearts
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper to taste

[What to do]

Dice up your onion and put it in a large sauce pan.  Rinse and drain your artichoke hearts and chop them into smaller pieces and set aside.  Steam your frozen spinach until its hot.

I have this awesome Pampered Chef steamer that is AMAZING.  You can just throw it in there with a little bit of water and pop it in the microwave for a few minutes and it's done.  It even has these holes in the top to make straining out the extra liquid super easy.  Anyway, I digress.

Steam your frozen spinach until it is hot and strain out the extra liquid and set aside.  In your sauce pan with the onion, add in the butter and saute over medium heat until the onion is tender.  Add in the garlic and continue to cook for another minute.  Add in the cream cheese and continue stirring over medium heat until it is melted and incorporated into the butter/onion/garlic.  Add in the spinach and artichoke and stir until incorporated.  Add in the worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper.

Serve hot with crackers or bread or anything else your little heart desires!
