In honor of the new Star Wars movie coming out on blue ray and dvd this week, I thought it was only appropriate I share my { STORM TROOPER } cupcakes with you! I made these when the movie was first release in theaters because it was also B's birthday weekend.
I have to say, these were actually pretty easy to make, just a little time consuming. And once I got the hang of drawing the icing faces on the marshmallows, it was pretty fun! The cupcake wrappers I used were black with little white dots on them. I was thinking they might look like space but once the chocolate cupcakes baked in them they just looked black. Which was totally fine too, just not as cute :) And I totally got some major girlfriend brownie points for making these! haha
Chocolate cupcake mix (and the ingredients to make them)
White frosting
Extra large marshmallows
Black icing tub for writing
[What to do]
Bake the cupcakes according to the packaging and let cool. While the cupcake are cooling, use the black icing tube to draw storm trooper faces on the extra large marshmallows. There was a little learning curve to this so I ended up drawing more faces than I had cupcakes so I could pick the best ones. Then frost your cupcakes and smoosh a storm trooper face on top of each and you have created your own little storm trooper army!
